Letting Go
Have you ever felt like it’s impossible to forgive someone?
|
|
|
A spiritual apology is done through your inner heart by praying for God to help you to forgive all involved in the situation. By allowing the divine to
resolve the situation, you bring deeper healing to all.
A simple prayer of spiritual apology might be: Dear God, heal my heart and soul, preparing me for greater acceptance of the growth and change that
will bless me from this experience. I apologize to my dear friend in this experience, acknowledging the pain I have caused. Through the power of divine restoration,
I ask that all hearts be healed and all continue in integrity. Amen. |

When letting go is difficult, forgiveness can be done on a deeper spiritual level. The pain may be so great that you recognize that you can’t do it alone, which
helps you turn to a power greater than your own.
Where and to whom do you turn?
You turn inward, accessing the wisdom of your inner spirit and the power of God to change your heart. God provides the light of truth to help clarify the situation,
empowering you to let go of fear, anger, and resentment. Your inner wisdom is the voice of your higher spirit-self, that all-knowing part of yourself that guides you upon your
spiritual journey. In choosing the path of forgiveness, you are creating the opportunity to grow deeper as a spiritual being.
The path of letting go spiritually is a journey that can be done through the following four-part meditation:
-
Light of truth. Meditate and pray for the light of truth to illuminate your heart, allowing you to see the situation clearly. Close you eyes and breathe
deeply. See a clear white light flow down from the heavens into the crown of your head, filling your body with light. This immense bright light searches out the pain held in
your body over the situation. The light surrounds the dark pain, effortlessly releasing it from your body. Feel the light of truth heal your body, mind, and spirit.
-
Listen. Now listen to your heart. Allow any thoughts, images, feelings, or sounds to touch you. As these impressions come to you, amplify your reception
of your inner guidance by saying, I am empowered by love to forgive myself and others.

-
Accept. Now focus on integrating your inner guidance into your being. See a glowing pink light stream down from the heavens, embracing your body, inside
and out. Feel forgiveness enter your heart, filling you with peace as you say, I accept and forgive myself and others.
-
Action. Now allow any inspiration for action to come to you. Hold a space of open awareness in your heart by saying, Heart of love, guide me to
closure. When you feel complete, open your eyes, knowing that forgiveness is growing within.
Continue to meditate as often as you need to break the chains of pain in your heart. Know that the action of forgiveness can also come in the form of remaining in a
nonjudgmental place when you think about others. You may be guided to talk with others to resolve the situation or you may come to resolution in your own heart.
