Following Your Heart of Faith

“I do believe in fairies, I do, I do,” Peter Pan chanted over a fallen Tinker Bell, who was lying pale and motionless on the enchanted forest floor in the latest Peter Pan movie.

Let love guide you by listening to five mini-audio workshops on discovering your intuitive senses. Listen closely, discerning the truth for yourself.

My five-year-old son, Tristan, stopped fidgeting in his seat, mesmerized by the magic on the big screen as British children suddenly awoke in their refined beds and joined the chorus of Peter Pan’s healing mantra. This great outpouring of love for this enchanted creature created a healing breath of life, putting the color of roses back into tiny Tinker Bell’s cheeks, restoring her anew.

With great seriousness, Tristan turned to me and said, “You know, I do believe in fairies, I do, I do.”

Believing in magic is old hat for my young son. After listening to Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, Tristan informed me that magic exists in everyone. Love, he told me, is inside everyone’s heart, and that’s where the magic starts.

Children live close to magic because their world is full of possibilities. They have so few yesterdays to look back upon, and tomorrow is so far away that they live in today. Today can be anything when you allow magical love to guide your way.

Believing in magic is simply trusting in the power of love. Love’s steady hand leads you through days when hail rains hard upon your body. Love’s knowing heart listens patiently as you weep for injustices against humanity. Love’s warm embrace holds you tight, safe in its haven. The magic of love is that it’s not unseen or mysterious. Magical love flows forth from family, friends, strangers destined to become friends, and other journeyers on the road of life. Love’s light shines forth from all you meet. Magic happens when you notice this lamp burning in the eyes of others, and you step forward, trusting in its light.

I will guide you to affirming your faith in Heart of Love.

How can you use this magical light to follow your heart of love? Trust.

What is trust? Belief.

How do you believe? Faith.

How do you find faith? Conviction.

Convictions of the heart, actions that lead you to trust in your belief in the power of love, are the foundation of spiritual faith. An assured heart says I do believe in love, I do, I do. When this certain heart steps out into an uncertain world, it relies upon the magic of its beliefs to steady its course, to light the dark places, and to guide it to new heights. A child believes that his father can do anything, making all broken things new and finding all lost things safe. A child’s father does all of these things through the power of love. This love, this magical healing light, exists in you, fixing you anew and leading you home.

In God We Trust

Find your healing light of love by taking three steps toward spiritual faith:

1. Trust yourself. Listen to your inner heart, discerning truth that is right for you. If something does not ring true, have courage to seek sources that match your beliefs.

2. Trust Spirit. Tune into a higher spiritual power for energy to actualize your dreams. Through prayer, meditation, and affirmations, attune your intentions with this greater energy.

3. Trust the universe. Notice what the day brings you based on your intentions and actions. You are a part of an interconnected universe and your prayers are often answered in magical ways.

Tristan showed me how to look within and follow my heart of faith. I was reading the morning news when he tapped on the paper to get my attention. I lowered the page to see him smiling, rubbing his stomach.

“My tummy feels happy,” he said with a grin.

“Why’s that?” I asked, ruffling his hair.

“God is in there,” he said, “and my brain says that I’m full of love.”

What more do you need in this world of magical love? I do believe in love, I do, I do.
